About Jill Hughes

Jill Hughes is an experienced and qualified Gestalt Psychotherapist working in private practice in both Edinburgh and Ealing, West London. She is a registered member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). Jill has extensive experience of working with individuals and couples in psychotherapy and also facilitating fortnightly ongoing therapy groups. In addition to offering individual, couple and group psychotherapy and counselling, she also offers clinical supervision to other counsellors and psychotherapists. With her experience of training and university teaching she also offers CPPD workshops for practitioners (recent series included  'Shame'; and 'Increasing Creativity in Clinical Practice') as well as an ongoing monthly Clinical Skills group. Jill also has many years’ experience of working with clients from different countries, cultures and faith backgrounds.

Jill began in 1991 with a Diploma in Integrative Humanistic Counselling after which she undertook Gestalt Psychotherapy training at the Edinburgh Gestalt Institute. In 2002 she did further training at the Metanoia Institute, London. This procedure has been rigorous, incorporating academic study and supervised clinical practice, which enables her to offer help to a wide range of people with a broad and often complex range of issues and concerns.
